Basketball legend Patrick Ewing tests positive


Basketball legend and current coach at Georgetown University, Patrick Ewing announced on Friday (22) that it tested positive for the Coronavirus, at 57 years old.

He was the only member of the university team to test positive for Coronavirus. And according to the university, Ewing is already in social isolation and under medical surveillance at the hospital.

Through social media, Ewing made an appeal, saying that this virus it’s no joke. “I want to share that I tested positive for Coronavirus. This virus is serious and should not be underestimated. I want to encourage everyone to stay safe and take care of themselves and their loved ones ”, he wrote.

The former player took the opportunity to thank all health professionals and those on the frontline in the fight against Coronavirus. And he also said: “I will be fine and we will all get over it”.


Ewing played most of his career in NBA fur New York Knicks, team of which he is an idol until today. Joined the Hall of Fame of basketball in 2008 and still has an Olympic medal won in Barcelona-1992.

Infected Brazilians
