Borsa, Consob extension of 3 months enhanced transparency obligations

Milan, 10 July (askanews) – Consob with resolution no. 21434 of July 8, 2020 extended for a period of three months – from July 12, 2020 until October 12, 2020, unless revoked earlier – the provisions set out in resolutions no. 21326 and 21327 of 9 April 2020 with which the Commission, making use of the powers of the so-called “Companies Decree” (Legislative Decree n. 23 of 8 April 2020), respectively, strengthened the transparency obligations on the changes in the significant shareholdings and expected to disclose the investment objectives for shareholder companies particularly widespread upon exceeding a certain threshold for a period of the next six months.

The extension, explains a statement, was made necessary due to the continuing uncertainty about the evolution of the economic and financial situation generated by the Covid-19 epidemic.
