Atlanta (USA), Aug 1 (EFE) .- Venezuelan Ranger Ronald Acuña hit his first home run of the season for the Atlanta Braves, who beat the New York Mets 7-1.
Acuña Jr., (1) shook off a slow start to the season by towing two runs with two hits, including his first homer.
The Venezuelan kicked the ball off the field in the sixth episode, with no runners ahead as he chased closer serpentine Franklyn Kilome, solo, with no outs in the episode.
Dominican Ranger Marcell Ozuna (3) also bounced the ball off the field in the first episode, against starter Michael Wacha, carrying a teammate ahead.
The winner was starter Josh Tomlin (1-0) in two and a third innings.
By the Mets the defeat was loaded by Wacha (1-1) in four episodes.
