a Sunday classified orange, with traffic “very difficult” in places

After a Saturday classified black in the direction of departures, the situation is improving on the roads this Sunday, for this weekend of crossover between July and Augustians. Bison Futé has placed the day of Sunday in orange vigilance on the national level, the circulation therefore remains generally difficult in the Hexagon.

Some areas, where traffic will remain “very difficult”, are classified red. These are several departments in the Center, Pays-de-la-Loire and Normandy, as well as the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

Axes to avoid if possible

To avoid traffic jams and slowdowns, Bison Futé advises not to “leave or return to the big cities, between 10 am and 8 pm”, and to avoid several axes particularly used this Sunday such as the A10 motorway between Tours and Bordeaux, the A9 motorway between Orange and Narbonne or the A7 between Lyon and Orange.

Access to Italy via the Mont-Blanc tunnel (N205) will be dense between 10 am and 5 pm “with a wait of more than 30 minutes, underlines the road monitoring body.

In the sense of returns on Sunday, the card remains entirely green, the forecasts therefore promise normal circulation.
