Access controls to Íscar and Pedrajas (Valladolid) begin due to an outbreak


Valladolid, Aug 2 (EFE) .- The access controls by the Civil Guard to the municipalities of Íscar and Pedrajas de San Esteban (Valladolid) began around 11.30 am on Sunday after a court authorized a plan to containment for the next fourteen days in both municipalities, with a total of 9,500 inhabitants, due to an outbreak of coronavirus.

Specifically, the first control was established in Pedrajas and, according to what the Government Delegation in Castilla y León has informed Efe, a total of 18 USECIC (Citizen Security Unit) units will be in the control device and all of the Iscar’s post, and tomorrow reinforcements from other provinces will arrive.

In addition, there will also be several patrols of the traffic detachment and a helicopter, according to the same sources.

Five kilometers distant from each other, these towns have restricted the free entry and exit of people from the municipalities, except for movements that take place for justified reasons, although the circulation by road and roads that pass through said towns will be allowed, provided that they originate and destiny outside of them.

The movement of residents is allowed, although displacements and non-essential activities are discouraged, visits to the residential centers for the elderly and the exits of residents abroad are also suspended.

The order has taken effect once, judicially authorized, it was published this morning in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León (BoCyL).
