It’s that time of year again: the season is just around the corner: thanks to a detailed hygiene concept, the ADAC GT Masters can finally start again after the Corona mandatory break. It starts at the Lausitzring.

SPORT1 is right in the middle of it and shows all races in the “Super Sports Car League” in detail live on free TV (ADAC GT Masters live on TV from 12.30 on SPORT1).

The racing series is again top-class this year. Seven GT Masters champions are honored. In addition to the two double champions Kelvin van der Linde and Sebastian Asch, Maximilian Götz, Daniel Keilwitz, Christopher Mies, Patric Niederhauser and Robert Renauer will also fight for the podium places.

With 15 rookies there will also be plenty of fresh blood. This season, 19 teams use vehicles from seven brands. These include Audi, Bentley, BMW, Corvette, Lamborghini, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche.

Everything about Formula 1 and the motorsport weekend in AvD Motorsport Magazine with McLaren team boss Andreas Seidl, racing driver and sky expert Nick Heidfeld and Christian Danner. Sunday from 9:15 p.m. and now weekly on TV and STREAM on SPORT1

As usual, a one-hour race with driver change will take place on seven race weekends on Saturdays and Sundays. Unlike in previous years, the first race takes place at the Lausitzring. There the pilots can collect points for the battle for the championship for the first time on August 1st and 2nd.

Formula 4 at the start again

The ADAC TCR Germany and the ADAC Formula 4 also start their season with the ADAC GT Masters. US Racing starts the season as defending champion and co-favorite: Former Formula 1 and DTM driver Ralf Schumacher and his partner Gerhard Ungar are aiming for the triple again this year: the titles in the drivers’ championship, the rookies and the team championship .

The ADAC GT 4 Germany will join the second race weekend, which will take place on August 15 and 16 at the Nürburgring. SPORT1 broadcasts the two races of the ADAC GT Masters and one race of the frame series live on free TV on each race weekend.
