The traditional Belgian club Royal Antwerp has won a title again after 28 years. In the final for the national cup, the team beat champions FC Bruges 1-0 (1-0).

Lior Refaelov (25th) scored the goal of the day in the ghost final at King Baudouin in Brussels.

Due to the cup success, Antwerp is directly qualified for the group stage of the Europa League, while the RSC Charleroi has to take the detour through the qualification rounds.

The championship season in Belgium had been canceled due to the corona pandemic. Brugge FC had been crowned champions after the 29th matchday. It was the 16th title for the club.
