The Civil Protection has issued a weather alert that will cover the afternoon-evening of Saturday 1 August and the whole following day. According to forecasts, while in the center-south we speak of a red dotin fact, they will return to the north thunderstorms, hailstorms and gusts of wind.

The authorities have warned of the approach of one north-atlantic disturbancea, permeated by colder air at high altitude, which will cause intense worsening weather conditions on the northern regions of Italy, with rainfall predominantly thunderstorm character generally of strong intensity.
Therefore the Department issued a warning of adverse weather conditions which could result hydrogeological and hydraulic problems. It does not concern the whole peninsula but some specific regions. For the Lombardy we speak of orange alert for thunderstorm risk while for Piedmont, Trentino Alto-Adige, Emilia-Romagna, Veneto, Friuli Venezia-Giulia, Umbria and Marche of yellow alert.
The phenomena will be accompanied by heavy, frequent showers electrical activity, hail e strong gusts of wind. Lastly, the Civil Protection recalled that information on regional alert levels, specific critical issues relating to individual territories and prevention actions adopted to deal with bad weather are managed by its territorial structures. They are in constant contact with the central departments to follow the evolution of the situation.
