Despite lucrative calls from abroad, Matthias Ginter from Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach does not consider a change this summer.
“Yes, I will definitely stay in Gladbach,” the defender assured in kicker-Interview (Monday edition). Sports director Max Eberl recently ruled out a transfer of the Rio world champion.
Ginter is “well in Gladbach”
Most recently, there had been speculation about Ginter’s departure, Inter Milan was mentioned among other things as a possible target of the 26-year-old (contract until 2021). “Of course, I registered the inquiries and was pleased with this certain appreciation, but also often enough emphasized how well I am doing in Gladbach,” said Ginter.
The current team has “great potential and the trainer means huge added value”, Ginter continued: “I also have big goals in this connection and of course I also have a contract.”

The 29-time international can also imagine a long-term stay at Borussia, for which the club must ensure continuity with the top performers: “We can only achieve the greatest possible success if we remain well-rehearsed and do not have to cope with a change.”
