The Englishman Jonny Edgar won the first race of the ADAC Formula 4.
The 16-year-old driver from Van Amersfoort Racing won confidently ahead of German Joshua Dürksen from ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg eV, who also showed a strong race.
“It was a really good race. Everything worked well. After the start, I took care of the tires,” said winner Edgar afterwards SPORT1.
The last podium was taken by the Finn Elias Seppänen, who asserted himself in a heartbeat final against pole-setter Jak Crawford.
Crawford messes up start
The 15-year-old Red Bull junior from Van Amersfoort Racing fell far behind after a completely messed up start, but fought his way back through good overtaking maneuvers.
After the American got off the slopes in the battle for third place and had to drive through the dirt with his car, he started the attack again shortly before the end, but it was not enough.
As fifth place, the ADAC Sports Promotion Pilot Tim Tramnitz (US Racing) from Hamburg was the best rookie.
