After six years at FC Barcelona, Ivan Rakitic is on the way to find his former club Sevilla FC. According to El Mundo Deportivo, everything is tied up for the vice-world champion to commit to Andalusian training.
According to El Mundo Deportivo, Sevilla have agreed to pay € 10m to take back their former protégé. The latter being in favor of a comeback on the side of Sanchez Pizjuan, nothing is therefore against this transfer to materialize.
Besides Sevilla, Rakitic (32) also had contact with Arsenal. Mikel Arteta, the manager of the Gunners, contacted him in person to offer to join him at the Emirates Stadium, but the person concerned is not very keen on changing the league.
During his long stay at the Nou Camp, Rakitic played 309 games and scored 36 goals. He has long been a part of this team. But, in recent months, his status has weakened and he has discovered the bench of substitutes. In 2019/2020, he only started 21 times, in all competitions.
