Burak Yilmaz officially signed with LOSC this Saturday. Free, the 35-year-old Turkish striker has signed a two-year contract. A Turkish legend arrives in Lille. This Saturday, the day after the formalization of Victor Osimhen’s departure from Naples, the LOSC has indeed announced the signing of Burak Yilmaz. The striker is committed for a period of two years with the northern club. Author of 205 goals in the Turkish Championship, where he will have worn the colors of the biggest clubs in his country (Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, Besiktas and Trabzonspor), Yilmaz remains as effective as ever, despite his 35 years: he has thus found the fault 13 times (and 7 assists, in 25 matches) in Süper Lig last season with Besiktas, of which he was the captain. International since 2006, Yilmaz also has 24 goals in 59 selections with Turkey. “He has the perfect profile to strengthen our workforce, integrate into our model of play and bring to the team all his experience”, said Marc Ingla, the director general of LOSC, on the club website. In the North, for his second experience outside Turkey (he played with the Chinese club Beijing Guoan in 2016-2017), Yilmaz will notably meet Yusuf Yazici, and that promises: in 2017-2018, thanks to the ammunition of the attacking midfielder, he had scored 23 goals in 25 League appearances for Trabzonspor.
