Madrid, Aug 1 (EFE) .- Marcos Llorente, the Belgian Yannick Carrasco and the Argentine Ángel Correa win whole to form in the starting team of Atlético de Madrid to face the German RB Leipzig, in the quarterfinals of the Champions League to be held in Lisbon (Portugal), according to training this Saturday.
The three were part of the eleven-head trial that Argentine coach Diego Pablo Simeone had during the morning training session this Saturday: Llorente as Diego Costa’s companion up front, Correa and Carrasco as wingers on the right and left, respectively.
An eleven to be completed by Jorge ‘Koke’ Resurrección and Saúl Ñíguez, in midfield, and the same defense team that has worked together in other exercises this week, formed by Colombian Santiago Arias on the right, Montenegrin Stefan Savic, the Uruguayan José María Giménez and Brazilian Renan Lodi on the left.
Therefore, the Portuguese Joao Félix and Álvaro Morata, as rehearsed this Saturday, would wait for their opportunity on the bench, along with Víctor Machín ‘Vitolo’, the French Thomas Lemar or the Mexican Héctor Herrera.
Only Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey, touched, and Croatian winger Sime Vrsaljko remain without part of group practice, less than two weeks from the momentous duel for a place in the semifinals of the top continental club competition.
