Rome, August 1. (askanews) – “The event sector and in particular that of weddings has been among the most affected by the Covid emergency and yet it is among those with which politics has so far dealt with the least. For this reason militants and parliamentarians of Fratelli d Have symbolically worn wedding dresses, took a cake and set up a wedding: we want to turn the spotlight on this area and make two very simple proposals. The first is the unification of the fiscal years 2019-2020 considered as a single fiscal year and to charge taxes in June 2021 because this would allow to compensate the profits of 2019 and the losses of 2020. And the other is on grants: we ask that the contribution be calculated on the annual average and not on the turnover of the month of April because it means excluding sectors like these that have a subsequent seasonal gain, usually in April “. The president of Fratelli d’Italia Giorgia Meloni says it in a video on Facebook by Loro Piceno, in the Marche region.
“From the lockdown period to today the estimates speak of about 80 thousand marriages missed and the trade associations say that about 45 thousand companies operating in this sector are in extreme difficulty, for a turnover of around 15 billion euros. all kinds, ranging from locations, to catering, to restaurants, ateliers, hairdressers, make-up artists, photographers, wedding planners: many people who risk their jobs. Those of Fratelli d’Italia are two simple proposals and that up to now they have not been accepted. We hope it can be done. We want to put this sector back on its feet – says Meloni – and we do it precisely with the symbolism of marriage which in the end is this: the day you say yes, it is the day you love and when you hope, it is the day when a new path begins. And it is exactly what we want for our country too “.
