It will remain in force at least until mid-August the obligation to wear a mask in all closed places accessible to the public, from trains to shops. But a new extension is already in the works, even if no decision would have been made yet.

According to what is learned from government sources, the dcpm which will be adopted next week should substantially confirm the guidelines currently in force and the renewal of the obligation to use masks to contain the infection is now taken for granted. For the moment, the order signed by Minister Speranza on August 1 requires the use of protective devices until August 15.
The ordinance adopted yesterday by the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza confirms the obligation to wear a mask “in indoor places accessible to the public, including means of transport and in any case on all occasions where it is not possible to continuously guarantee the maintenance of the safety distance”. The obligation does not apply to children under six years of age or to the disabled. Social distancing also remains, with the maintenance of one meter between people on means of transport and in places open to the public.
