Puebla (Mexico), Jul 31 (EFE) .- The Peruvian Juan Reynoso, Puebla’s coach of Mexican soccer, commented on Friday that the draw at the last minute of Cruz Azul, 1-1 in the Apertura tournament, left him with bad taste in the mouth.
“I am leaving with a bad taste in my mouth; as things turned out, it seemed that Cruz Azul had no place to tie, the result is not bad, but I did not like the way it happened,” said the helmsman.
Reynoso confessed that the favorite before the game was Cruz Azul, so a tie didn’t seem like a bad result.
“If they had told me prior to the result that if we signed a clear tie we would have done it, but as things turned out we are not happy,” the helmsman reiterated.
The Peruvian strategist highlighted the conviction and commitment of his players.
“Headlines and those who entered had an equal effort and a desire to make things go well and I liked that,” he acknowledged.
Juan Reynoso also pointed out the errors in which they must work to avoid leaving the Liguilla.
“There are fine details that fail us and we have to improve. Tactically the team has given a good reading and we have to keep our heads on it, it is up to us to continue in Liguilla positions.”
The draw left Puebla as the leader of the table with four units, the same as Cruz Azul, although with a better goal difference for their victory on date one 4-1 over Mazatlán FC, while Cruz Azul, who also won in the opening date 2-0 against Santos.
On the Chivas, next rival of the Puebla team, the Peruvian coach assured that they are motivated.
“The rival motivates us, he comes with more rhythm than us, but we have something to compete with and go find a good result.”
On matchday three, the Puebla team will visit Chivas on Saturday, August 8; The Machine will receive the Lion the same day.
