Many Hyundai i20 WRCs were entered in Rally di Alba this weekend in Italy, and Thierry Neuville was the fastest. Hyundai came in force this weekend in Piedmont to participate in a round of the Italian Championship, in order to prepare its drivers and the whole team for the resumption of the WRC at the beginning of September in Estonia. And it was Thierry Neuville who dominated the internal debates at the South Korean manufacturer, at the end of the nine specials of the event, after having signed eight scratches. The Belgian edged Ott Tänak by 22 “4 and the Frenchman Pierre-Louis Loubet by 55” 5. In the Italian rally, Craig Breen won with his Hyundai i20 R5, ahead of Jari Huttunen (+8 “7) and Dani Sordo (+23” 5), also in a Hyundai.
