Rome, August 2. (askanews) – Over 2000 investigations this weekend by the Local Police of Rome Capital. Particular attention to the main areas affected by the phenomenon of “nightlife”, also with patrols in constant presence, to verify compliance with anti-alcohol rules and to contain the contagion: isolation procedures have been activated in some areas for gatherings and contested 47 crimes for consumption, sale and administration of alcohol beyond the allowed hours.
In particular in the districts of Trastevere, Monti, Piazza Bologna, Ostiense, it was necessary to close the squares to counteract gatherings which effectively prevented compliance with the provisions envisaged for the limitation of contagion. The checks also concerned public premises and businesses with 32 detected irregularities, including 8 cases sanctioned for violation of the provisions on the protection of public health.
Targeted checks also in Ostia where yesterday the agents seized dozens of sunbeds and umbrellas illegally rented on the Amerigo Vespucci waterfront by a 50-year-old Italian citizen. Over 1000 euros of sanction for the performance of the illegal activity. The surveillance on the coast continued until late in the evening also to verify compliance with the anti-Covid regulations at the premises in the area.
Over 500 irregular or dangerous behaviors sanctioned during road safety checks, some of which committed on board scooters. Eighty, on the other hand, the vehicles removed due to a ban on parking and hindering traffic.
