Swastikas painted on mural honoring Republican writer Max Aub in Valencia


The mural dedicated to the republican writer Max Aub in Valencia it has appeared painted with swastikas and with the word “fascist”, as reported by the Levante newspaper.

The mural is located in the infant and primary school that bears his name, located on Almazora street in the Sant Antoni neighborhood.

In the mural you can see a portrait of the author and the following quote: “I am sorry not to be with you. But believe me if I assure you that I am from the heart ”.

Vicent Marzà, Minister of Education, has harshly criticized the Nazi attack: “The extreme right, whitewashed in parliaments and the media, always attacks teachers and schools first. They do not tolerate critical thinking. They do not tolerate diversity. They will always have us in front. Not a step back. ”
