Homayra Sellier, president of the Innocence in Danger association which fights for the protection of children, says “very happy” Sunday August 2 on franceinfo of the announcement of the creation of an independent commission on sexual violence against children next fall, by the Secretary of State for Children and Families Adrien Taquet in the Journal du Sunday.
franceinfo: Are you satisfied with the creation of an independent commission on sexual violence against children?
Homayra Sellier: I am very happy. This commission is lacking in France and it is obvious that today there is no body which is very specialized in child protection. I am very grateful to Adrien Taquet for having taken this decision, eagerly awaited by associations, but also by the parents of victims and victims. I trust the Secretary of State to take the measure of the extent of these phenomena of violence against children.
