Formula 1: Great Britain’s Grand Prix now in live ticker
- Top 10: 1. Hamilton, 2. Bottas, 3. Verstappen, 4. Leclerc, 5. Sainz, 6. Norris, 7. Grosjean, 8. Ricciardo, 9. Stroll, 10. Ocon
28.: Mercedes takes out a little pace. The silver arrows are still 1.5 seconds faster than Leclerc.
26.: Grosjean receives the black and white flag (warning). When Sainz tried to overtake, the Frenchman drove out too late and almost caused an accident.
26.: The hard tires work much better at Leclerc. Thanks to the blocking of Grosjean, Monegasse was able to pull out a four-second cushion.
25.: Hamilton takes almost five tenths off Bottas on the last lap. This keeps him out of the DRS window.
24.: Leclerc drives one second faster than Vettel per lap. Although it hangs in traffic, it cannot get past Ocon.
23.: Verstappen meanwhile also drives his fastest personal lap – half a second slower than the Mercedes.
23.: Bottas drives the fastest lap again. He is only 0.9 seconds behind.
22.: At Grosjean, the weapons are slowly becoming blunt. Leclerc pulls him away and Sainz pushes. Good for the Ferrari.
20.: The hard ones don’t work at Ferrari at all. Vettel has to be torn down and has to do with Giovinazzi. Leclerc cannot keep up with Verstappen and has problems with Grosjean.
20.: The usual picture at the top. Hamilton and Bottas move away, Verstappen drives Grosjean away.
19.: Ocon has grabbed Vettel and is now tenth.
19.: Albon has been given a five-second sentence for the Magnussen accident.
19.: Grosjean and Sainz get off well and join Leclerc. Ricciardo has to fight Norris. In the end, Norris passed the Renault.
18.: The safety car comes in this round.
17.: Lewis Hamilton complains again about the too slow safety car.
15.: At RTL-Mikro, Hülkenberg spoke about his departure today: “I can’t say exactly. The engine couldn’t be started. It’s bitter. A blatant thriller that I’m in. It didn’t work, there was nothing repair.”
14.: Except for Grosjean (Medium), every car was now in the pits. Everyone has now raised the hard.
14.: Both Mercedes come to a stop. Verstappen and Leclerc also get fresh rubbers.
13.: The teams with the soft tires take the chance and stop on the media. The top 4 were over at the scene of the accident.

13.: SAFETY CAR! ! The Russian loses control and takes off.
12.: Bottas is now stepping on the gas and doing the fastest lap. He is 1.3 seconds behind Hamilton.
10.: Sainz looks very good from the rest. The McLaren driver is almost two seconds ahead of Ricciardo.

9.: Vettel just can’t get past Ocon. Gasly is already on the neck.
8.: Verstappen can distance himself from Leclerc for over three seconds. The Dutchman is 2.7 seconds behind Bottas.
7.: Albon now drives to the pits. He reported vibrations over the radio.
6.: When restarting everything remains the same. the Mercedes are already two seconds before Verstappen. There are close duels behind it.
5.: The safety car comes in this round.
5.: It should also be interesting to see how the one safety car phase will affect tire wear. Will the pilots try to switch from medium to soft?
5.: The DAS system from Mercedes is now interesting when warming up the tires. By moving the steering wheel, the pilots can get better temperature in the tires.
4.: Sebastian Vettel is still in 10th place. Before the safety car phase, he fought a duel with Ocon. Vettel passes on the old start-finish straight, but brakes and stays behind the Renault.
3.: At Albon, the car seems to be okay so far. That was a good blow anyway.
F1: Albon triggers early safety car
2.: SAFETEY CAR! Albon and Magnussen come together in the last curve. Magnussen throws the door shut, Albon doesn’t stick back. Albon bangs in the Haas and rips off a wheel.
1.: Sainz’s turn to Leclerc. Hamilton, on the other hand, has already created a decent cushion.
1.: Bottas starts well, but cannot avoid the tight first corner. Charles Leclerc has got off to a good start, but still has to give up Verstappen.
1.: Here we go!
Formula 1: Great Britain Grand Prix today in the live ticker – Before the start
The introductory round has started.
Nico Hülkenberg won’t be able to start today! . The drive unit seems to have given up the ghost.
Before the start, the drivers got together as part of the BLM movement. A moving video came out.
Is there too much pressure involved with Alex Albon? Christian Horner explains at Sky that this is not the case. But you expect a good race from him today.
Mario Isola, boss of Pirelli, assumes that a stop from medium to soft is also possible.
Racing Point has just announced that an error message appeared when starting the car. Because of this, the car was not started. Now the error has to be found.
Things are getting worse for Hülkenberg. The German now has to get out of the car. These are not good signs. 24 minutes to go.
At Nico Hülkenberg, people are hectically screwing on the car. The front wing had to be removed. The pit lane is closed. This means that Hülkenberg must not start from the starting grid on his comeback, but must start from the pits.
The racers are now on their way to the starting grid. Max Verstappen will be careful twice so that a crash does not happen again …
About the strategy: The top drivers start with the media. however, the switch from soft to hard before.
- Fastest variant: soft on hard – rounds 18 to 22.
- Second fastest variant: soft on soft on medium – round 16-18, round 32-36.
- Third fastest variant: medium on hard – rounds 21 to 24.
What is going on for Ferrari today? Apparently not that much when it comes to Charles Leclerc. Due to the low downforce on the SF1000, he believes it will be even more difficult to protect the tires. Silverstone is considered a tire eater. And with Sebastian Vettel? He can get his 3000th career point today.
Due to the premature end, Albon still has a total of four fresh tires available (2x soft, 1x medium, 1x hard). Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel are the only drivers left with only one set of fresh hard tires.
What’s next for Red Bull? Alexander Albon performed well in the first and second practice sessions, especially on the long runs. As so often so far, he destroyed his self-confidence in the second free practice session when he took off after turn 15 (Stowe) and demolished the car. Things went even worse in qualifying. P12 are of course far too little for Red Bull’s expectations.
Qualifying for Sebastian Vettel was disappointing: The Heppenheimer failed in Q3 and only started from P10. The second Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc (5th place) did better. Comebacker Nico Hülkenberg is the second German to be 13th.
The favorite role is once again clearly distributed: With a lead of over a second over the first non-Mercedes driver, Lewis Hamilton won the qualification, only team-mate Valtteri Bottas (+0.313 seconds) could keep up halfway.
It starts – as with all European GPs – at 3.10 p.m. Drivers are driving on the Silverstone Circuit, the drivers have to do 52 laps of 5.901 kilometers each before the checkered flag is raised.
