Rome, August 1. (askanews) – “Spallanzani Institute will start testing for the made-in-Italy anti-vaccine vaccine on humans, which will be administered to 45 healthy volunteers, aged 55 or over, divided into three groups of 15. The results of the tests will be awaited that, if they do not provide contraindications as we wish, they will subsequently be extended to a new group of healthy volunteers aged between 65 and 75. The sample will be further extended with the progress of the results which have as objective that of identifying the minimum quantity of vaccine capable of developing antibodies. ” This was stated in a note by the President of the Lazio Region, Nicola Zingaretti.
“As the Lazio Region, we have supported – explains President Zingaretti – this delicate phase of research with an investment of 5 million euros out of a total of 8 and clearly the positive conclusion of the preclinical phase bodes well for significant results also for humans. My thanks go to those who, with dedication and professionalism, are engaged every day in the fight against the virus that will be definitively defeated with the arrival of the vaccine. In the meantime, with the virus still in progress, it is necessary for all citizens to continue to respect three simple rules: use of the mask, spacing and continuous hand washing “.
