A Cyclone Anti-Atlantic arriving on Italy will sweep away the intense heat wave that characterized the first weekend of August.
Starting from Monday In fact, on August 3, the IlMeteo.it team expects rain, hail and a drop in temperature of up to 10-15 degrees. Bad weather will affect mainly lower Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia, with flash and landslide flood warnings especially in mountainous areas. Cloudbursts could arrive on Monday afternoon also in Emilia Romagna and central and eastern Liguria. Central Italy will instead be cloudy, while in the South the weather will be sunny.

Tuesday still rain in Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia and, in the afternoon, in Romagna, Marche and Abruzzo. Wednesday thunderstorms will move to lower Lazio, the Abruzzo coasts, Campania, Basilicata and Puglia. A general improvement in weather conditions is expected only from Thursday August 6, with sunny weather in both the North and the South and temperatures again around 30 degrees all over Italy.
