This Wednesday Portugal registers eight more deaths associated with covid-19 and 825 new infections by the new coronavirus. There are 666 inpatients, 105 in intensive care.
Six fatalities occurred in the region of Lisbon and Vale do Tejo and two in the North Region. There are six women and a man aged 80 and over and another woman aged 60-69 years.
In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, Portugal accounts for 1971 deaths (eight more) and 75,542 positive cases covid-19 (plus 825), according to the epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health.
Lisbon and Tagus Valley have 398 more cases (38692 no total), the North plus 294 (27029), the Center plus 82 (6158), the Alentejo plus three (1502), the Algarve plus 41 (1663), the Azores plus five (274) and Madeira plus two (224).
48,530 people have recovered from the disease (plus 337) and there are 666 inpatients (five more), of which 105 in intensive care (six more).
Health authorities have 44,758 people under surveillance (plus 527) and there are 25041 active cases in the country today (480 more).
