All Bethesda games, including Starfield, will be on the Xbox Game Pass

For those who do not know, Microsoft bought Bethesda and the parent company, ZeniMax, for a value of $ 7.5 billion, thus bringing it to the Xbox portfolio. This includes some major franchises such as Doom, Fallout, and The Elder Scrolls. But, as part of the news of the new acquisition, they also left a reminder that first-hand games like Starfield are available on Game Pass at launch.

In the Bethesda ad, Starfield was specifically mentioned. And according to Bethesda: “Microsoft will grow from 15 to 23 creative studio teams and will add Bethesda’s iconic franchises to the Xbox Game Pass.

This includes Microsoft’s intention to bring future Bethesda games to the Xbox Game Pass on the same day they are released on Xbox or PC, as Starfield, the highly anticipated new space epic currently under development by Bethesda Game Studios. ”

And if the statement speaks of Starfield, the truth is that it makes no mention of Elder Scrolls 6, at least in such a specific way, as it did with Starfield.

This may also mean that current ZeniMax games, such as Doom Eternal and Fallout 76, either go to the Game Pass, which will be the most likely, or will remain in service forever. It goes without saying that any franchise or sequel of these and many others of the company will also reach the Game Pass.

Todd Howard, from Bethesda Game Studio, also mentioned that Starfield and Elder Scroll 6 will benefit from some major technological changes, whatever that may be. These two games, and most likely others, will use what will be the biggest engine overhaul since Oblivision. However, no date has been set for any of the games.

Needless to say, after the announcement, Microsoft realized that Game Pass subscriptions rose to 15 million users, so go ahead and find out why!
