SAO PAULO (Reuters) – Azul (SA 🙂 said late Sunday that it had received approval to operate an Embraer (SA 🙂 E195 jet modified for freighter functions.
The company said it expects another three aircraft to be adapted by the end of the year to provide services to customers in the e-commerce sector. Currently, Azul has two Boeing 737-400 freighters.
“We have seen a strong increase in demand for Azul Cargo Express services,” said Azul’s chief executive, John Rodgerson, in a statement to the market.
