Bia is currently number 609 in the world ranking, and should rise to the group of the top 450 placed in the coming weeks. Since returning from tournaments after stoppage due to the pandemic of the new coronavirus, the Brazilian tennis player won one tournament (in Montemor) and was runner up in another (Figueira da Foz).
The player was 14 months without entering the court, between the doping suspension and the break in the women’s circuit due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2019, it reached the 58th place in the world ranking.
This Sunday’s match was almost perfect for the Brazilian, who won the 12 games in dispute, getting six breaks. When he drew, he did not yield any break points. In fact, he only lost six points in his serve.
