ACD Projekt Red stated that the Cyberpunk 2077 campaign will be shorter than that of The Witcher 3 because many people ended up not finishing the game.
As ResetEra user Saucycarpdog discovered during the CohhCarnage Twitch stream, senior mission designer Patrick K. Mills said in the post-show of the third Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire that the campaign for Cyberpunk 2077 will be slightly shorter than The Witcher 3 because, although many people have played the game a lot, few have actually made it to the end.
“We know that the main story of Cyberpunk 2077 is slightly shorter than The Witcher 3 because we received a lot of complaints about the main story of Witcher 3 being too long,” said Mills. “Looking at the metrics, you see a huge number of people playing so far, but who have never reached the end. We want you to see the full story, so we’ve shortened the main story, but we have a lot to do.” However, the statement concerns only the story mode and the main missions, not the full game, including all side missions and so on.
According to How Long To Beat, the main story of The Witcher 3 takes an average of 51.5 hours to complete, while a complete race can take about 172 hours.
While the main campaign may be a little shorter than The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077 will receive free DLC along with paid expansions, just like the previous game.
Cyberpunk 2077 arrives on November 19 for PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X / S, Google Stadia and PC. The game is ready to revolutionize customization in games and has at least 5 pubic hair options.
