After almost 12 years and countless appeals on both sides, Corinthians was sentenced in the Labor Court to indemnify Marcos Roberto Fernandes, who worked as the club’s controller between August 2000 and March 2007 – he was also financial manager for the last nine months of bond.
THE My Timon had access to the process that was processed at the 62nd Labor Court of São Paulo. The defined amount of the sentence is R $ 1,305,665.41. The lawyers of the former employee of Alberto Dualib, now, request the execution of the value by pledging the sponsorship agreement with Hypera Pharma, which acquired Arena naming rights for R $ 15 million / year). The judge has yet to speak.
Marcos Roberto Fernandes made several requests of a labor nature, such as job accumulation, overtime, overtime on notice (Saturday and Sunday), difference on severance pay, paid weekly rest, in addition to fines, interest and monetary corrections. All with their respective reflexes (13th salary, INSS, vacation plus 1/3, difference in FGTS, etc.).
The former employee also asked for compensation for moral damages for being included in the investigation of GAECO (Special Action Group to Combat Organized Crime) in the early 2010s, which resulted in the conviction by Dualib swindler, former president, Nesi Curi , former director, and three other people (Marcos Roberto included). In the petition, the ex-controller claims that “he had no autonomy in his functions because the hierarchical superiors took the club in an iron hand”.
Also part of the claim for indemnity for moral damages was the fact that, at the time, the Civil Police discovered hidden cameras in the internal rooms of the administrative sector of Parque São Jorge, placed at the behest of Dualib, without the employees’ consent. Among them, the ex-controller.
Not all of the above requests have been accepted by the courts. Even so, after numerous appeals from both sides, the club’s conviction was in seven digits.
The Marcos Roberto Fernandes lawsuit is yet another labor dispute suffered by Corinthians. As already shown My Timon, the club currently has almost 180 actions in progress, including some former players such as Paulo Roberto, Jonathas, Paulo André, Chicão, Jucilei, Marcelo Mattos, Magrão, Clodoaldo, Diogo Rincón, Giovanni Augusto, Bill, Ibson and Manoel .
Not to mention former employees of the football department, such as physiotherapist Julio Suman. goalkeeper trainer Mauri Lima and physiologist Daniel Portella, in addition to the female goalkeeper with Karina Balestra and athletes from other sports.
