At the end of the sixth month of fighting the new coronavirus pandemic, the Federal District reached 192,245 confirmed cases and 3,255 deaths caused by the disease. On Wednesday (30), the Health Department confirmed 928 more diagnoses and 31 victims.
Compared to the previous day, the capital had increase in the number of cases and deaths. On Tuesday (29), the folder had counted 812 infected and 21 deaths, which indicates an increase of 14.2% and 47%, respectively. Of the total infected, 181,308 are recovered – about 94%.
In August, 1,054 people died from Covid-19 in the capital. This month, the portfolio accounted for 734 deaths, that is, there was a 30% reduction in the number of deaths. The September number, however, may still change, due to victims who can be registered later.
Of the total deaths recorded by the Health Department, 2,991 are from residents of the Federal District and 264, from people who lived in other states, but died in the capital.

Of the victims counted in the last 24 hours, three occurred on Wednesday. The others happened in previous days, but the cause was confirmed later.

Ceilândia, the most populous region of the Federal District, has the largest number of cases: 23,561. Next is Taguatinga, with 15,873 notifications of the disease, and the Plano Piloto, with 15,138 infected.
Despite the fall in the number of deaths in September, in relation to August, four regions broke the record for deaths by Covid-19 this month. Santa Maria registered 48; Riacho Fundo I, 15; Lago Sul, 12; and Varjão, two.
