Coronavirus: Eight dead and 825 infected in the last 24 hours in Portugal – Out of Field


Lisbon and Tagus Valley Region concentrates 398 new cases

In the last 24 hours, Portugal recorded eight more deaths and 825 new cases of coronavirus.

According to the Epidemiological Bulletin issued daily by DGS, the country now has 1971 deaths and 75 542 confirmed cases of the disease. The Lisbon and Tagus Valley Region (LVT) concentrates 398 of the new cases, followed by the North, with 294 more, the Algarve, with 41 more, Centro Region, with 82 more, the Alentejo with three more cases, the archipelago of Madeira with two more and the Azores with five more.
Currently, there are 665 hospitalized patients, five more compared to Tuesday. There are six more people hospitalized in intensive care, increasing to 105.

So far, 48,530 have recovered from the disease, 337 more than yesterday.

Six of the eight deaths were recorded in the LVT region. The remaining two were accounted for in the North region.

Regarding the distribution of confirmed cases, 41,264 relate to women and 34,238 to men. As for fatalities, 988 correspond to males and 983 females.
