Covid-19: Brazil has 142 thousand deaths and 4.74 million accumulated cases


The daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health, released on Monday (28), reveals that Brazil has registered 4,745,464 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic.

Of this total, 3% of cases resulted in death (142,058); 10.9% of patients are undergoing treatment (519,224); and 86.1% of Brazilians who contracted covid-19 are recovered (4,084,182).

In the last 24 hours, 317 deaths and 13,155 new cases were recorded. The cases are smaller on Sundays and Mondays due to the limitations of feeding the database by the teams of the health departments. Already at Tueon Tuesdays, the number has been higher by sending the accumulated data from the weekend.

Health officials are still investigating whether another 2,533 deaths were caused by coronavirus.
