Manchester United fell far short of the values admitted by FC Porto to sell the full-back.
Six days before the transfer market closes at the main European championships, Alex Telles’ future is more about staying at FC Porto than going out.
Despite the fact that in the international press it is insisted that Manchester United intends to sign the left-back, to the point of having already agreed a deal with the player’s manager (Pini Zahavi), the truth is that this will of the English club (not yet) translated into a sufficiently tempting offer for dragons.
GAME knows that the dragons recently received United’s first offer from the player, but that didn’t even deserve an answer that could be worth the start of negotiations. SAD considered the value (the reputed “The Guardian” speaks at 13 million euros) simply unrealistic by the left, even though this is the last year of the contract and just a few months from being able to freely commit to another club for the next season.
Some market “experts” have used Twitter to show the confidence of Alex Telles’ representatives in a positive outcome of the negotiations, which will see new developments in the coming days. Manchester United will be preparing a higher bid to try to captivate the dragons, but they only admit to talking when the values are around 20 million euros.
Otherwise, the defender will remain at Dragão, even with the risk of being able to leave at zero cost when the season ends, since his sporting value may prove to be much higher. Especially if it helps the team to get far in this year’s edition of the Champions League and guarantee one of the top two places in the League, which would guarantee the Blues and Whites another significant financial fit, due to the direct entry into the Champions group stage in 2021/21. Until Monday a lot can happen. But the more days go by, the less likely Alex Telles is to leave.
