Set in Brazil and looking like a GTA, game 171 is still in development, but is already guaranteed in the next generation of video games.
In partnership with the production company QUByte Interactive, the studio Betagames Group announced versions of the so-called “Brazilian GTA” for Xbox Series X, in addition to PS4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One.
The open-world game features racing, shooting and narrative-focused mechanics.
In 171, protagonist Nicolau Souza, a young dreamer who lives in a small and humble community, ends up involved with the wrong people in an attempt to help his younger brother, a former drug user.
A test version of 171 was on display at BGS 2019 and was quite successful among the public.
In an interview with START at the time, one of the game’s creators, 3D modeler Kleverson Vieira, revealed that the game’s ambiance is very inspired by the city of Sumaré, in the interior of São Paulo.
