The government of the State of São Paulo announced that the Ibirapuera field hospital will end its activities on September 30. The announcement was made during a press conference at Palácio dos Bandeirantes this Friday (25).

The hospital closes its doors after 5 months of continuous operation. According to Governor João Doria (PSDB), 3,200 people were served from 106 municipalities in the state. This was the last unit that was still operating in São Paulo.
Also according to the government, 99% of patients, who participated in a spontaneous survey, approved hospital care. “Everyone has done their job of saving lives well,” congratulated Doria.
With the closure of activities, all equipment will be donated to assistance entities and public health units in the state.
