MG – State of Minas Gerais asks adherence of the target audience in vaccination campaigns, even during the pandemic
MG – The government of Minas Gerais on Friday (25) asked the population to participate in vaccination campaigns, which should begin on October 5 in the state, even during the pandemic.
“The Secretary of State for Health (SES-MG) follows the calendar of the Ministry of Health for carrying out these vaccination campaigns and the forecast is that on the 5th of October the National Vaccination Campaign against Polio and the National Campaign for Multivaccination to update the child and adolescent handbook, ”said Deputy Secretary of Health, Marcelo Cabral.
According to the manager, the target audience for the booklet is children and teenagers from 0 to 14 years old. According to him, it is not mandatory, but it is very important that citizens take their identity document and vaccination card.
According to Cabral, even in a time of pandemic, health units did not interrupt work in the vaccination rooms. People should look for the health center closest to the residence, as the teams in these spaces are oriented about the care with distance and the use of masks.
The manager also mentioned the launch of the Vacina Mais Minas Gerais campaign, which aims to alert the population about the benefits of the vaccine and also about the risks to which everyone is exposed when the prophylactic measure is ignored.
“The intention is to inform and draw the attention of miners about the need to expand vaccination coverage for the entire population. Thanks to mass vaccination, diseases such as polio, rubella, tetanus and whooping cough are no longer a public health problem in Brazil. The campaign also demystifies fake news about vaccination ”, informed SES-MG.
Cabral invited the population to visit the campaign for of the secretariat website.
