Next Monday, October 5th, the National Vaccination Campaign against Polio and Multivaccination to update the vaccination card for children and adolescents up to 15 years of age. All vaccines in the vaccination calendar will be made available in all Basic Health Units in the municipality in order to increase the vaccination coverage for children and decrease the incidence of vaccine-preventable diseases. The action continues until October 30, with October 17 being the “D” day of the campaign.

To avoid crowding and follow the covid-19 safety and prevention measures, in addition to facilitating access for those who work during the week, the UBSs will be open not only on “D” day, but also on Saturdays 24 and 7 November, from 8 am to 5 pm.
In all, the municipality has 6,964 children and the target group for vaccination against polio are children under 5 years old. In multivaccination, the audience is children and adolescents under 15 years old (14 years, 11 months and 29 days). It is worth mentioning that it is important to bring an identification document, in addition to the vaccination card, if you have one.
In Balneário Camboriú, the campaign also seeks to update the vaccination of the entire population, especially against yellow fever, as the virus still circulates in the State and vaccination coverage for adults has not yet been achieved. In addition, all doses will be available.
