With less than a week to go before the launch event for the new Google devices, Chromecast with Google TV has just leaked again. The device had its look and box items detailed, and can even be seen at work in a video posted by Reddit user fuzztub07.
Economy and market
The images released do not bring much news, but reveal some interesting information about the new Chromecast. In terms of appearance, the device has a white matte color in an oval-shaped body, with a structure very similar to its predecessor. The big difference here is the presence of the remote control for Android TV, or Google TV, which proves to be extremely compact, slightly larger than the Chromecast itself.
The accessory has shortcuts to YouTube and Netflix, as well as a quick access button to Google Assistant for executing voice commands. In addition to the device and the control, the box of the new Chromecast only has a power connector and a USB-C to USB-A cable, used to power it.
Already in operation, it is possible to notice the use of the new Android TV interface previously leaked, with a strong focus on a “cinematic experience”. Movies and series are shown prominently, with applications being accessible in another tab of the system, which curiously is based on Android 10, instead of Android 11, and has a modest 4.4GB of storage.

Even so, as shown in the video accompanying the leaks, it is possible to notice that the system maintains the fluidity, smoothly scrolling the pages and accessing the search quickly. Google Chromecast with Google TV hits the market next Wednesday, September 30, when it will be officially announced alongside the new Nest Audio, Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a (5G), also targets of multiple leaks during this week.
