OnePlus has an event scheduled for October 14th. Among other products, the brand has promoted the OnePlus 8T, its new smartphone that will be presented at this event.
Now the brand’s CEO, Pete Lau, has revealed something that anyone who bought a OnePlus 8 Pro (or still intend to buy) will appreciate. According to the executive, this year will not be released the one that wanted the OnePlus 8T Pro.
OnePlus will now launch only one Pro model per year
Through the social network Weibo, Pete Lau stated that “users who like Pro-level products can continue to choose the OnePlus 8 Pro”. This will therefore continue to be the truly premium of the brand until next year.
This means that if you want the OnePlus supremo, the OnePlus 8T shouldn’t be the way to go. This will arrive with very interesting features like the 65W Warp Charge charging or the 120Hz screen. But it won’t have everything that this year’s Pro model has.
Still, don’t expect the OnePlus 8T to be the only novelty at this event. The executive assured that there will be surprises, and we should know about a new cheap headset, and possibly a smartwatch.
