Portuguese Olympiacos coach commented on qualifying for the Champions League group stage after a 0-0 draw against Fabiano’s Omonia.
Group stage draw: “I have no preference for the draw, because all the games will be very demanding. I would, however, like a trip to Portugal and I believe I will have it. Let us call it intuition.”
Olympiacos have not conceded goals in any of the games: “Not conceding goals in our games is a testament to our work in training. Our goal is to demonstrate, during this season, how good our defense is. No team will find it easy to play against us, I guarantee.”
Praise to Fabiano, former FC Porto goalkeeper, now at Omonia: “Fabiano was excellent tonight and I have to congratulate him. If he hadn’t been there, the result would have been different. I would also like to congratulate my players on their work, dedication and a deserved qualification.”
Analyze: “We are very happy with the qualification. We were in control, we were better and we created many opportunities to score, but there was a player in Omonia who did not allow us to score.”
