Fiverr can now be fully explored in Portuguese, although from Brazil. The Israeli company’s decision comes after having seen a considerable increase in traffic from national users on the platform.
For the first time, Fiverr will adapt its services to a “non-English” environment and Portugal entered the scene by registering a 73% growth in visitors between Q1 and Q2 2020 », says the company in a statement.
According to Fiverr, the presence of Portuguese users doubled between March and April 2020, during a period of confinement. In addition to this increase in visits, there were other data that led the company to pay more attention to Portugal.
Fiverr says it has registered a 47% increase in buyers of freelance services in Portugal and a 107% growth in new user registrations in the first two quarters of 2020.
Fiverr’s concept is to have a kind of social network for freelancers from various areas to show their skills and offer their services: «Each freelancer has his own profile, service description, evaluation and fixed price, which helps to avoid unnecessary negotiations. In this way, service providers also find jobs easier and faster », explains the company.
