Aalesund did well against RBK, but had to go home empty-handed after two goals by Zachariassen.
AALESUND – ROSENBORG 1-2:
Kristoffer Zachariassen’s two goals led to a victory for Åge Hareide and Rosenborg against Aalesund.
The orange jerseys had several opportunities to score at RBK in Sunday’s settlement, but it was with Sigurd Haugen’s one goal in the second half.
During the settlement, Joacim Jonsson from Eurosport-studio was confident in his case when he believed that Aalesund both could and should have received a better score against Hareide’s crew. Among other things, there was an episode where the ball ended up in the RBK box, but then the score, what could look like, was incorrectly canceled for offside.
– I say it again. It’s not a coincidence. Round after round after round … Jonsson begins, before he eventually goes on to say:
– Aalesund will probably feel a little cheated in retrospect, of course.

Fresh RBK start
Already after four minutes came the match’s first big opportunity, signed Torgeir Børven. The former Odd striker rose to the top on a post from the right, but a good Andreas Lie saved the Sunnmørings from a nightmare start.
Not long after, Kristoffer Zachariassen was close at a heading, after another post from the right side. But unfortunately for the people of Trøndelag, the attempt went in the post and out.
Aalesund gradually played more into the match, and towards the end of the first half, the home team came to several good shooting opportunities.
– Now I really think that Aalesund has taken over on Color Line, said among others Carsten Skjelbreid from Eurosport studio after half an hour had been played.

But then Zachariassen got both time and space centrally in the ball. Then the 26-year-old literally glued the ball up in the left cross, and sent the away team into the lead, which also held until the break.
In the second half, Ben Karamoko hit a long ball to Haugen, who got all the time in the world when a sleeping RBK defense did not follow the 23-year-old’s race. The striker made no mistake alone with André Hansen, and passed the goalkeeper before putting the ball in the open goal.
Shortly afterwards, the home team thought they had turned the match around, but the goal was what could seem to have been incorrectly canceled for offside.
Rosenborg then went straight into attack, and after a bit back and forth the ball ended up with Zachariassen, who got an easy job of sending the hosts in the lead for the second time.
Aalesund had several opportunities to take points towards the end, but imprecise finishes contributed to Hareide and RBK being able to pull the victory ashore.
