Since the beginning of the pandemic, the city has distributed masks to the population, placed totems with alcohol gel in public spaces. They are staying at home, wearing masks. We do our part ”, he comments.
In addition, according to Cssia Maria dos Santos, through the emergency decree, the city acquired tests with its own resources to test the population.
According to her, 70% of the population in the elderly community is one of the groups most at risk of developing the severe form of the disease. Thus, people are afraid and maintain rigorous measures. “Even health workers who are going to visit have difficulties”, he commented, detailing that the residents are resistant to receiving others at home. “We had two suspicious cases and there was a ‘stir’,” he said.
Minas Gerais today has 271,194 cases of COVID-19 and 6,727 deaths. There were 1,141 confirmations in the last 24 hours. The number of confirmed deaths from yesterday to today was 13. The lowest to date was last Monday, with 10 deaths, which may be related to the lack of teams in the municipalities to update the data on Sundays. Also according to the bulletin, 237,429 cases were recovered and another 27,038 were being monitored.
