The pandemic numbers in the Federal District show a scenario of falling contamination, but the fight against the new coronavirus is not yet controlled. A list from the Department of Health shows that, this Sunday (27/9), 13 people await transfer to beds of intensive care unit (ICU).
Data are from the Hospital Admissions Regulation Center and were updated at 1:45 pm. The list shows critically ill patients and people who have been waiting for an ICU bed for 11 days. Experts warn that the frame of covid tends to evolve more each day when it is not possible to provide the necessary care.
The 13 waiting patients are divided into two subgroups, that of people who are in common beds and need an intensive care unit, which is eight, and that of people who are already in the ICU, but who need another type of bed, more advanced, which are five. In all cases, the clinical picture indicates contamination or suspicion of covid-19. In August, the list had 48 names.
When still counting patients with other diseases, there are 81 residents of the Federal District awaiting ICU beds in the capital. Currently, the capital accounts for 188,608 cases of infection by the coronavirus, of which 178,056 are cured, and 3,183 deaths due to the virus.
