Sesi-Bauru beats Valinhos and keeps 100% in the Paulista Volleyball Championship | volleyball


Sesi-Bauru beat Valinhos by 3 sets to 0 (with partials of 25/20, 26/24 and 25/17), this Sunday night, at Sesi’s gym in Vila Leopoldina, in São Paulo. The duel was valid for the second round of the São Paulo Women’s Volleyball Championship.

It was the second consecutive victory for the Bauru team, which is in second place with six points. Valinhos knows his second defeat in the competition and shares the lantern with São Caetano, next opponent in the state.

Sesi-Bauru will once again enter the court against Osasco, next Tuesday, at 9:30 pm, at the José Liberatti gymnasium, in Osasco. Earlier, at 2 pm, Valinhos faces São Caetano, at the Lauro Gomes gym, in São Caetano do Sul.

Before the start of the match, the Sesi-Bauru team paid tribute to the central Mayhara, who broke a knee ligament, in addition to injuring the meniscus, and had to undergo surgery. The recovery time is still undetermined.

Sesi-Bauru managed to impose themselves in the first set and with many crossed balls managed to gain an advantage. With many serve errors, Valinhos failed to react and ended up defeated in the first set by 25 to 20.

In the second set, Valinhos’ team started more closely and put a seven point lead at the start. But Sesi-Bauru returned to the game and managed to take the advantage. After the balance came back, the teams were tied in 24 to 24, until Tifanny closed the set in 26 to 24 for Sesi-Bauru.

In the third set, Sesi-Bauru did not know about Valinhos and even opened an advantage of ten points. Valinhos failed to have the same offensive efficiency as the second set. Suelle closed the set by 25 to 17 and the match by 3 sets to 0.
