The Attorney General of the State of Alagoas presented a request for suspension of a monocratic decision by the judge of the Court of Justice of Alagoas, which determined the suspension of the bidding for the concession of water and sewage services of Casal.

“We appealed the decision in the certainty that we have to guarantee the restoration of the normality of the whole process, which until now has been pursuing the most legitimate legality”, says the attorney general in the suspension request.

Late Tuesday afternoon, a decision by judge Elisabeth Carvalho, of the Court of Justice of Alagoas (TJ / AL), suspended the auction, scheduled for this Wednesday (30).

The suspensive decision meets the request of the Autonomous Water and Sewage Service (SAAE) of Marechal Deodoro and gives the state government 15 days to present the counter-reasons and documents it deems necessary for its defense.

For SAAE, State Complementary Law No. 50, of October 15, 2019, which provides for the management system of the metropolitan region of MaceiĆ³, would be unconstitutional for violating the federal pact, with regard to municipal autonomy.
