After the FIA WTCR weekend at the Nurburgring ended, Tiago Monteiro then faced the 24h at that German circuit. Along with Dominik Fugel, Markus Oestreich and Esteban Guerrieri in the Honda Civic Type R TCR number 170, Tiago crossed the finish line in an extraordinary first place in the TCR category and 22nd overall after constant fighting on the track.
This result, the second in a row in this race, leaves Tiago extremely satisfied and enthusiastic about the endurance races. It was 24 long hours with no time to let my guard down, as the opponents did not spare the Honda quartet: “I loved this race. There were constant fights and we did excellent teamwork. We had no problem with the car and we were forced to impose a breakneck pace in order to win the race. Two participations, two victories, I couldn’t want more. This victory belongs to everyone. I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to once again deliver this team and be part of this victory. Thanks to Honda, Honda Germany, Fugel Sport, my teammates, my support team Physio Powermotion and everyone who fought with us off the track to make this possible ”, concluded Tiago Monteiro.
