Palmeiras beat Santos by 2-1, this Thursday afternoon, for the 10th round of the Brazilian Women’s Championship, at Allianz Parque. Larissa scored for Sereias da Vila, but Bianca and Carla Nunes guaranteed the victory alviverde.

The match marked the debut of the Verdão women’s team at the palmeirense arena, which had only received training from women until then.

Santos was better in the first stage and opened the scoring with a penalty kick in the 41st minute.

In the second stage, however, Palmeiras came back better and dominated the match. The reaction started in the 14th minute, when striker Carla Nunes hit a beautiful shot from outside the area and tied the match. At 25, Bianca received the ball, spun and hit the angle of the goalkeeper Santos to turn the game.

With the result, Santos remains in second place in the competition, with 25 points, behind Corinthians. Palmeiras takes third place, with 20 points.

Verdão returns to the field this Sunday, at 3 pm, to face Audax, away from home. The Sereias da Vila also play on Sunday, at 2 pm, against Ponte Preta, at Ulrico Mursa.
