RedeTV informed Boris Casoy, this Tuesday morning (29), that he was ending his contract with the journalist.
Casoy was at the station since 2016 to present the newscast “RedeTV News”. The break was reported by Franz Vacek, the station’s superintendent of journalism and sport.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, Casoy, who is 79, has been away from the studios since March, but made daily comments from his home to the news. During this period, as with other employees, his salary was reduced by 50%.
“It was a fertile period for me, I was not feeling it,” Casoy told the column. “I will look for my ways”.
The anchor had informed RedeTV that he will soon start a morning newscast on his YouTube channel.
Recently, RedeTV hired journalist Luís Ernesto Lacombe, who premiered on Monday the program “Opinion in the Air”.
