Users from Brazil and abroad reported failures to access Microsoft Teams and Outlook earlier this evening (28).
The Downdetector website recorded a spike in complaints around 7pm for Teams, Outlook and also for Office.
Shortly after 7:30 pm, Microsoft said in its Twitter account that it reversed a configuration change that would probably be the cause of the failure that hit the Microsoft 365 system, and that it was monitoring the situation.
The company then said it saw no improvement and would take further steps to try to minimize the problem.
Around 8:48 pm, the company said it was redirecting traffic to an alternative infrastructure, while investigating the source of the crash.
Microsoft said that any user may have difficulty accessing the services. Not everyone who was logged in was affected by the failure earlier in the evening.
